When cutting or sawing fiber cement board, wear a dust mask and eye protection, also, wear a earplug to prevent noise produced during cutting .

Please make sure, choose an area away from other people or pet that without enough protection.
If have to, please wear a dust mask to protect whenever fiber cement boards are being cut or sawn.
3.Color painting
Fiber cement board can be primed and painted at the factory or on the building site. I recommend factory-primed and painted, it is convenient and carries a warranty of 25 years. If you prefer to do the priming and painting yourself, I recommend to use alkaline-resistant primer and 100-percent-acrylic top coat.
Also it is no problem to change the color if you want. Our water-based acrylic paints adhere well. Comparing with wood board, fiber cement board does not expand and contract and rarely peels or blisters. So paint stays very long.

It determines whether you need a permit to install new board.
5.Add insulation materials during installing fiber cement board
When installing new fiber cement board, consider adding insulation materials, like glass wool or rock wool, in the wall cavity or over the exterior cover. It can greatly reduce the energy loss in order to reduce the cost the electricity for air conditioning. When fire disaster occurs, glass wool or rock wool can effectively prevent the spread of fire.
And do not forget to build window and door if using insulation materials.
6.Plan carefully
It is wise to make a plan of home improvement project. List all the materials and supplies you’ll need in your plan. Buy all the things at one time will save lots of valuable time.
